Winload Toolbar

What is Winload Toolbar?

Winload Toolbar is browser plug-in associated with the infamous Conduit.com. It is said to improve your browser’s functionality, but in reality it is a useless clutter of a program. This add-on is supported by all best-known browsers: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome.

The installation process is particularly confusing, as it occurs partly in German, partly in English. That is most likely because the majority of users who download the program are located in Germany. Even though technically this is not a browser hijacker, it comes pretty close to the title and so it is a very smart choice to remove Winload Toolbar.

Where did Winload Toolbar come from and what does it do?

If you are not sure how come this program is in your computer, it probably means that you got it via drive-by download. However, you may have installed Winload Toolbar on your own, in which case you probably also installed Amazon Icon, PC Optimizer ausführen (PC Optimizer PRO) and Pricealarm.

If you rushed through the installation process, it probably also changed your home page and search engine and will flood you with notifications and redirect your searches to unrelated pages (you will notice the “WebCrawler” search). All this makes for a very annoying surfing and a slower computer and Internet browser.

As the majority of plug-ins, this one is also ad-powered. This means that they may collect your browsing history in order to show you relevant ads and such data can be easily hacked by cyber criminals. To be sure your computer is safe, the best option is to delete Winload Toolbar.
