Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node.
Locate and remove a registry key called TopFlix.
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE.
Select and remove a registry key called TopFlix.
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Chedule\TaskCache\Tree.
Delete the malicious registry key called DNSINWOOD.
Now open the File Explorer.
Now go to C:\Program Files.
Select the folder called TopFlix and delete it.
Go to C:\Program Files (x86).
Delete the folder that is called TopFlix.

How to remove TopFlix task

Go to C:\Windows\System32\Tasks.
Look for a task with a CLSID type of name, for example, {7E087947-0A0C-0B0A-7811-780804041108}, and delete it.
Search for a string called C:\Windows\system32\WindowsPowershell\v1.0\powershell.exe
-nologo -executionpolicy bypass -noninteractive -windowstyle hidden –EncodedCommand.
If such a string is found – delete it.

How to restore your DNS settings

Click the Windows button and select Control Panel.
Choose Network and Internet.
Select Network and Sharing Center.
Click Change adapter settings.
Right-click your Local Area Connection or Wireless Network Connection and select Properties.
Select Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.
Remove the unwanted addresses from Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server sections.
Check Obtain DNS server address automatically and click OK.
