However, our researchers at Anti-spyware-101.com are of the opinion that it should be removed, because it is utterly useless. It has been classified as a potentially unwanted program (PUP) due to its questionable scanning process that does not show detailed results of the detections. SpeedingUpMyPC is not a malicious program by any means, but we believe that its only purpose is to trick you into purchasing it. But if you buy it then you will just throw your money away. Where does SpeedingUpMyPC come from?

Our researchers have found that this PC optimization tool was developed by a company called SpeedingSoftware, Inc. Interestingly, this company has its own website at Speedingsoftware.com, but this site features only one product which is SpeedingUpMyPC. If we were to believe the information presented on this website, then this optimizer was first released in 2011. So it is quite an old for a potentially unwanted program as such programs usually die off within a few years or less. However, SpeedingUpMyPC is still going strong, and we have found two channels that are used to disseminate it.

SpeedingUpMyPC is currently put up for download on its dedicated website at Speedingupmypc.com. However, at the time of the research, the download function was inactive, so its developers might have fixed it since. However, users still somehow get this program on their computers, and we have received unconfirmed reports that this optimizer is being distributed via software bundles. SpeedingUpMyPC developers boast that it can clean your computer’s registry, delete temporary junk files and invalid shortcuts, and improve your computer’s performance, among other things. However, it is clear that this program is not up to scratch because it shows incomplete paths to the places where alleged problematic files are located. We think that it is hiding them on purpose. Also, allegedly, SpeedingUpMyPC performs a complete sweep of your computer in less than 10 seconds which goes to show that there is something wrong with this program. Even if it can fix some issues on your computer, this optimizer is still not worth the money its developers ask for it. So do not hesitate to remove this application if you have installed.

How do I remove SpeedingUpMyPC?

Our researchers have classified this program as potentially unwanted, because it does not show information about its detected issues and thus expects you to believe that they are legitimate.
