The names might suggest that they offer different services, but that is not the case. They all are equally as useless, and it seems that their creator is not even trying to make them seem unique. According to it, the PUP can record personally identifiable data and share it with partners. It also can showcase advertisements. So, did you install the PUP from chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/topsportssearch/pjebjmcjobhnffdkihegakcgonokiham? If you did not, you could have found its installer on some other platform, or perhaps even bundled with other threats. In any case, once installed, TopSportsSearch always acts the same.
The most important task for TopSportsSearch is to change the default search provider on Google Chrome, and it does that using feed.topsportssearch.com. How is that manifested? When you enter keywords into the browser’s address bar, your searches are redirected via feed.topsportssearch.com to Yahoo Search (search.yahoo.com). This is why we claim that the PUP does not offer searches at all. Instead, it only redirects. Sadly, the results you are shown are modified, and that might not be evident right away. This puts you at risk of interacting with links that belong to unknown parties. Of course, it is possible that the PUP could be working with harmless parties, but it could also be serving schemers and malvertisers.
