Shitcoin Wallet

What is Shitcoin Wallet?

If you want to be safe, Shitcoin Wallet is not the extension/program you should install. Anti-Spyware-101.com researchers warn that this PUP (potentially unwanted program) has the ability to inject malicious code and extract personal information from users visiting five cryptocurrency management platforms, which are binance.org, idex.market, myetherwallet.com, neotracker.io, and switcheo.exchange. If you visit any of these platforms while the PUP is active, your login credentials and crypto wallet information can be leaked without your permission, and, unfortunately, there is only one thing that can happen after that. Of course, the collected data could stay untouched, but it is possible that someone could use it to log into your wallets and tamper with the funds found within them. Do you want that? Of course, you do not, and that is why you should delete Shitcoin Wallet without further delay. If you want to waste no time, check out the last paragraph and the removal guide below. How does Shitcoin Wallet work?

It is possible that Shitcoin Wallet could be introduced to Google Chrome and Windows users via bundled downloaders, pop-ups, and advertisements. However, an official website exists – https://shitcoinwallet.co/. If you go to this website, you are introduced to two different downloaders. One of them represents the desktop application for Windows operating systems. The other one represents a link to a Chrome webstore page – https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/shitcoin-wallet/ckkgmccefffnbbalkmbbgebbojjogffn. This installer does not work anymore, and that means that Chrome webstore administrators have taken the PUP down. This was done not without reason. It is now known that Shitcoin Wallet – which, by the way, was first introduced in December 2019 – can inject a malicious JavaScript code to extract private information. So, how exactly does that work? Once you download the extension onto your computer, you are asked to grant it permission to inject a special JavaScript code on 77 websites. Once these are visited, a file is downloaded from erc20wallet.tk, and a code hidden within this file is activated when the user visits binance.org, idex.market, myetherwallet.com, neotracker.io, and switcheo.exchange.

The JavaScript injected by Shitcoin Wallet can successfully record login credentials and also the private keys that are stored in the dashboards of the mentioned cryptocurrency management platforms. This is what makes it completely unreliable and dangerous. Even if you have enjoyed using the services of the PUP, you do not want to continue using them because you are at risk! When the PUP was analyzed, it was not yet known whether the malicious code was injected by a malicious third-party or the creator of Shitcoin Wallet, but, ultimately, that does not matter. If your virtual security can be jeopardized by any service or any program, you need to stop using it and you need to delete it from your operating system or browsers. If you do not do it now, you might regret it later on. It is also important that you take care of your accounts and crypto wallets after the removal because if you keep the password that could have been leaked, you will continue to be at risk. So, immediately after you delete the PUP, change your passwords!

How to delete Shitcoin Wallet

It should be easy to remove Shitcoin Wallet manually because it does not conceal any components and does not try to hide itself. Our research team has created a guide that shows how to clear this potentially unwanted program from the Windows operating system and Chrome browser manually. After you get rid of the PUP, we want to remind you that it is important for you to change all passwords on binance.org, idex.market, myetherwallet.com, neotracker.io, and switcheo.exchange.
