RapidFixer claims to be the “best ‘do-it-all’ maintenance software”, but our malware specialists have a different opinion about this application. As a matter of fact, this program has shown suspicious traits and thus, it has been labeled as a potentially unwanted program, a PUP. Do not be misled by its category though. It may not mean direct danger to your computer or your Windows operating system, but its presence may still cause indirect security issues. Instead of fixing your problems rapidly, you may have to face a handful of malware infections. Where does RapidFixer come from?

You can download this application from rapidfixer.com, which is the official website. What is rather worrisome and makes this PUP suspicious is that even its official installer contains adware and other potentially unwanted program installers. That should be the first sign that you cannot trust this application and you are better off removing it. But we do not think that it is the only way this PUP is promoted. Actually, we know it is not because our research team has found RapidFixer bundled with malware infections. So no matter which version you have installed on your computer, there is a good chance that you have infected it with several “nasties.”

These malware threats are not without signs. You can clearly see the result of their activity because, for example, your screen will be filled up with third-party ads when you go surfing the web or your browser settings will be changed arbitrarily to promote a search engine as your new home page. How does RapidFixer work?

This application claims to be an “advanced PC care” that maintains your PC and to keep it clean and fast; however, it may not even work at all. It does not go deep and does not protect your system from real danger, such as malware infections. Actually, it seems nothing more than the usual PC optimizer scams that want to persuade you to register or buy the full license after you run a free scan, which normally finds hundreds of alleged errors to fix. But the fix will only come after you pay, of course. We advise you to find a reliable fixer or, rather, a proper antimalware tool that can really and fully protect your PC.

How to delete RapidFixer
