Delete Qip.ru
Internet Explorer
- Go to the Registry Editor (tap the Windows key + R, enter regedit, and click OK).
- Move to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main.
- Locate the following Values and change their data, i.e. remove qip.ru: Start Page, Search Page, Search Bar, Default_Search_URL, and Default_Page_URL.
Mozilla Firefox
- Launch RUN and enter %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*.default (* - random symbols). Click OK.
- Find and open the prefs.js file with the text editor, e.g. Notepad.
- Change all the links from qip.ru to http://www.google.com in the document (you can use Search (Alt+F) for this matter).
- Change QIP Search to Google in the entire document.
- Save the file.
- Find and open the search.json file.
- Change QIP Search to Google, http://search.qip.ru/search/ to https://www.google.com/search?q=, and search.qip.ru to google.com.
- Save the file.
