Only Search

What is Only Search?

Only Search is a search engine which is often identified as a browser hijacker. The truth is that no search provider should be categorized as a hijacker unless it has replaced the home page and search provider settings without your knowledge. Nonetheless, it does not mean that you should not remove Only Search from the installed browsers if you have acquired the application yourself. In fact, virtual security experts who research and analyze malware daily suggest that only-search.com is not a highly reliable search provider. Even though it does present original search results, they may be disrupted by sponsored links and online advertisements. To state that these may be suspicious is an understatement. How does Only Search work?

Malware researchers have discovered that only-search.com is a search engine identical to doko-search.com, and the later is categorized as a browser hijacker. If this infection has corrupted your web browsers against your wishes, you need to delete it as soon as possible. Anti-Spyware-101.com researchers have analyzed doko-search.com in the internal lab, and you can find what was discovered and what removal strategies are recommended in a specific report. You can type in the name of the infection into our search box to access this report. Of course, some computer users do not even think about the removal of the seemingly legitimate search provider.

Many computer users choose to trust the search tool because it can be personalized. You can design your own start page and add the easy-access links to the sites you want to visit. Unfortunately, it is impossible to delete the banner advertisements which may show up on the start page and the pages of your search results. These adverts may claim that you need a ‘Media Player Update’, or that you need to remove supposedly running computer infections. Unfortunately, these are not genuine offers. If you click on them and initiate the installers, it is most likely that dangerous infections, adware, or browser hijackers will be installed instead. Even though the services of the search engine may be unrelated to the content of the ads, you should remove Only Search to eliminate the suspicious offers.
