What is NewSaver?
NewSaver is a browser extension that is supposed to help you save money and provide you with the newest updates on the most popular products that are on sale in various online shopping malls. However, the problem is that NewSaver can hardly be reliable, because it definitely functions as adware application which constantly displays third party advertisements. Such applications should not be allowed to remain on your computer, because they can be exploited by cyber criminals for corrupted marketing scams and even malware distribution. Hence, it would be for the best to remove NewSaver from your computer.
Where does NewSaver come from?
NewSaver is similar to Fun2Save and a bunch of other adware applications that display coupons and discount offers. It has its home page at newsaver.info, but the download link does not work at the moment, as you get redirected to Google Chrome app store. Nevertheless, even if the download link is removed from the official website, it is still possible to download and install NewSaver onto your computer, especially when the application is bundled with freeware.
There are a lot of third party web hosting pages out there where basically anyone can upload their files and they are wildly available for download to anyone. That does not mean that the websites in question (such as cNet or Softonic) are willingly distributing potentially unwanted applications. They simply cannot be held responsible for third party content that you download at your own risk.
What does NewSaver do?
As one can probably tell, NewSaver gets installed on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers. The application does not have its own entry on the installed programs list, so it allows one to presuppose that removing the plugin should not be difficult.
NewSaver can obviously employ tracking cookies to collect data on your web browsing habits. Once the data is processed it generates commercial ads that display content somewhat related to your overall browsing history. It increases the possibility of you clicking an advertisement, but that is something you are strongly advised against – the third party content within the advertisement could redirect you to potentially corrupted website and it could result in dangerous computer infection.
How to remove NewSaver?
To remove NewSaver from your computer, you should disable and remove the plugin from your browser. However, that might not be the end of it. Considering the fact, that NewSaver generally comes bundled with other freeware applications, you should run a full system scan with SpyHunter free scanner if you want to find out what other programs should be deleted from your computer. It would help you ensure system safety. Naturally you would need to invest in a licensed computer security application, but at least this way you would safeguard the PC from any potential harm.
