Hey thanks for this post! After scanning with SpyHunter4 can I use it to remove the threats? Or should I be using another program?
Hello Dylan,
Yes, Spyhunter can remove this scam for sure, but it's not free. So if you are advanced computer user you can look at files location, and remove MIXI.DJ Toolbar by your self. Spyhunter shows all locations of this tool.
Good Luck
Max thank you so much for posting this. You are a genius! Blessings to you!
Thank you Max. I think I have it removed.
Hello Tigress,
Great to hear this!
Good Luck!
Your step-by-step removal instructions for MixiDJ were awesome and very complete. Other sites only had bits and pieces of the info you had and I was still plagued by this g**damn, piece-of-sh** toolbar/search engine/conduit crap that always opened a second tab in Chrome. Very annoying. Very shady.
Thanks for posting this information so that we can learn how to defeat this malicious software. I can't believe that MixiDJ could so easily change all my default browser settings. I usually see the warning from Chrome that a change is requested, but that window never popped up. Sneaky stuff like this pisses me off!!!!
Thanks again
Hello Stephanie,
I am glad that people appreciates, it is why I am working here
Thank's again and good luck!
Max
Max, Thanks to you, and your easy step by step method, I was able to rid that MIXDJ from both Firefox and Internet Explore. Great instructions.
Max, Tremendous Thank you for this post!
Got rid of the MIXI.DJ, and purchased SpyHunter, but I have two hard drives. To enter XP hard drive I need to hit the F8 key when the motherboard screen appears. SpyHunter is interfering with that process. I did find the option to select XP in the SpyHunter boot up search, but that is inconvenient.
Great work - much appreciated. Take the rest of the day off.
Thanks Brian!
Max, you saved me and my laptop. I have followed other instructions and only got rid of the programs without resetting the browser. So the mixi dj toolbar sneaked back in today. Thank you for your step by step instructions. I will be more careful from now on.
Hello Anita,

Your instructions were right on. I was so exited to get rid of Mixi.dj I tried to send an email without entering the numbers code. You deserve some kind of metal.

Hello Jim,
Thanks, you make my day!
Good Luck!
Hello and thank you in advance for your answers.
How can I remove this thing from about:Tabs window in IE8? All of the other places it was succesfully terminated
I\'ve just solved the problem with little help from MS forum. Here\'s the way.
Tools > Internet Options > General > Tabs > Settings > When a new tab is opened, open:
- a blank page
- the new tab page
- your first home page
I choosed \"a blank page\" then turned back to \"the new tab page\", which it was by default.
All\'s like it was before now.
Thank you for your comprehensive set of instructions. Unfortunately, they do not work for as as when I open up my 'add-ons' or 'plug-ins' for Mozilla firefox, Mixidj is not there. I also removed it from my computer files, so I don't understand why it is still infecting my firefox browser. Any suggestions? Thank you
