These are bundled together with the suspicious toolbar, and as Anti-Spyware-101.com researchers have revealed, you may miss an opportunity to refuse these applications since they are set to install automatically. The same goes for Wajam, Search Protect and Value Apps. How does Freemium work?

Unless the toolbar was installed packaged with other software, it is most likely that you have acquired it from the official download page freemiumen1.ourtoolbar.com. The download page is identical to the pages of Metacrawler Toolbar, CricBuzz Toolbar, and tens of previously reported Conduit toolbars. Here you can discover the Privacy Policy and Terms of Agreement documents. It is strongly recommended that you read through them carefully to find out if there are no risks related to running the toolbar on your Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browsers. Note that all of the additionally installed applications follow different privacy policies, which means that you should familiarize with each individual set of rules. If you fail to do this, you may be surprised in a negative way.

Even though it is not completely fair to call Freemium a browser hijacker, there is no doubt that some of the applications supported by Conduit are not the most reliable. If you wish to run any of them, you firstly need to make sure that they are harmless. If you are not 100% sure and you still wish to continue running the toolbar or any additional software, you definitely should install automatic malware detection and removal software to reinforce the security of your operating system.
