There is no doubt that Foxstart is a suspicious search engine. It comes bundled with the allegedly upgraded version of your Mozilla Firefox web browser; however, researchers at Anti-Spyware-101.com do not identify it as beneficial. It seems that the suspicious browser upgrade has been developed to promote third-party applications, including the istart.webssearches.com hijacker, PriceChop adware, the suspicious Fast Start browser extension, and other disturbing and potentially undesirable programs. How does Foxstart work?
Officially the suspicious, allegedly upgraded version of the Mozilla Firefox browser is promoted at free-browser.co/firefox/. If you are vigilant, you will notice that the program promoted on this page has nothing to do with Mozilla or its products. This is disclosed via a disclaimer at the bottom of the page. If you take time to read trough this disclaimer, it is unlikely that you would install the application yourself. Even though there is no information about the browser traveling bundled with other software, this is possible. Either way, we suggest you remove Foxstart software related applications from the PC right away. It is most important to delete Webssearches hijackers, running adware and any additional PUPs. Remove Foxstart and Fast Start
- Open Mozilla Firefox and simultaneously tap Ctrl+Shift+A.
- In the Add-ons Manager (new tab) menu click Extensions.
- Remove the undesirable Fast Start and then restart the browser.
- Simultaneously tap Alt+T for the Tools menu and click Options.
- Click the General tab and navigate to the Home Page box below.
