Foxstart

What is Foxstart?

There is no doubt that Foxstart is a suspicious search engine. It comes bundled with the allegedly upgraded version of your Mozilla Firefox web browser; however, researchers at Anti-Spyware-101.com do not identify it as beneficial. It seems that the suspicious browser upgrade has been developed to promote third-party applications, including the istart.webssearches.com hijacker, PriceChop adware, the suspicious Fast Start browser extension, and other disturbing and potentially undesirable programs. Our researchers indicate that you should remove Foxstart from the operating system because it is not the most reliable search engine. Needless to say, you should delete all disturbing applications running alongside.testtesttest 100% FREE spyware scan and

How does Foxstart work?

Officially the suspicious, allegedly upgraded version of the Mozilla Firefox browser is promoted at free-browser.co/firefox/. If you are vigilant, you will notice that the program promoted on this page has nothing to do with Mozilla or its products. This is disclosed via a disclaimer at the bottom of the page. If you take time to read trough this disclaimer, it is unlikely that you would install the application yourself. Even though there is no information about the browser traveling bundled with other software, this is possible. Either way, we suggest you remove Foxstart software related applications from the PC right away. It is most important to delete Webssearches hijackers, running adware and any additional PUPs. Note that these usually come as optional additions, and you should use your chance to refuse undesirable software.

Once the suspicious browser upgrade is complete, you may discover that the home page/start page of your Mozilla Firefox browser has been switched to uk.foxstart.com, foxstart.com, or a similar search provider. We recommend getting Foxstart deleted in whichever form it is represented because this search tool is quite suspicious. First of all, just like the Fast Start extension, it presents the search results of Google Search, which means that it does not provide you with original services. Secondly, the search engine displays unreliable banner advertisements. Do not click on any Foxstart ads because they may route you to truly unreliable and misleading sites. You may even be tricked into downloading more threats, all of which are likely to require removal, and sharing personal information.

How to remove Foxstart?

Our malware researchers recommend immediate Foxstart removal. Delete the suspicious search provider and remove software which may have been installed together. The easiest way to get rid of the unreliable software is to uninstall Mozilla Firefox. Remove the corrupted version of the browser and then install the original one. If for some reason you do not want to delete the browser, the manual removal instructions below will help you delete the undesirable search tool and browser extensions. Overall, whichever solution you pick, we recommend that you install automatic malware removal software afterwards to eliminate any remaining adware, hijackers, PUPs, or other unreliable software.
