Where does FlashBeat come from?

As mentioned above, FlashBeat usually comes from third-party file sharing sites. This adware application is a clone of PicColor, so it is clearly based on the SuperFish engine, and it doesn’t have any direct distribution source. Thus, FlashBeat might arrive bundled with a number of adware, shareware and potentially unwanted applications that are up for download on a variety of p2p websites.

Third-party installers aren’t the only thing you should be wary of if you want to avoid FlashBeat. You should also avoid clicking various pop-up notifications that offer you to download a Flash or Java update, or a media player upgrade. What does FlashBeat do?

This application doesn’t have that many functions because it enters your system to promote third-party content. The program does not add any plug-ins or extensions to your default browser, so for a time being you might not even know that you have FlashBeat on-board.

However, you will undoubtedly notice that something isn’t right when FlashBeat starts showing you countless commercial ads whenever you access online stores. Please refrain from clicking any random ad that pops up into your screen out of the blue. Since FlashBeat has your web browsing history, it may generate ads that are related to your likes and preferences, but that is no reason to click them either!
