Fastfreshtabs is an application that it can reload all of your open tabs with a press of a button. However, apart from the fact that it has no practical value, it is also a potentially unwanted program (PUP). We classified this program as a PUP because it comes bundled with bad software downloaders that install it on your PC secretly. Therefore, you might want to remove this application. Then again, it is not malicious, so you can keep it if you really want to. However, there is no reason to have this application as it does not offer anything useful.
Where does Fastfreshtabs come from?
Allegedly, this program was developed by a company called Quick Reload All Tabs which is obviously a non-existent company as its name was made up to give Fastfreshtabs a legitimate look. This program was developed only recently but is not widely available yet. Still, its developers have already set a website at http://fastfreshtabs.com from which you will be able to download this program which comes in the form of a browser extension for Google Chrome. However, the download button on this website still does not work. Our malware analysts have concluded that this program will also be available on the Chrome Web Store. However, what makes this program potentially unwanted is the fact that its developers have also made arrangements to distribute it via bad software downloaders featured on freeware distributing sites. These kinds of sites require you to download a downloader for downloading the software you want. However, the downloaders can secretly install Fastfreshtabs on your PC as well.
What does Fastfreshtabs do?
If you accidentally get Fastfreshtabs, then you should know that it is a good for nothing browser extension. As mentioned, it is available for Chrome only, but there is no reason to believe that it will not be adapted for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer. The only thing this program can do is reload all of the pages on all of your browser tabs. We do not see how this function could be useful and it appears that this feature is just a gimmick. To reload your tabs, we will have to set a hotkey or use the browser action button provided by this application. This program does not show any ads, but it has to generate revenue somehow because there is no point in distributing it otherwise.
How do I remove Fastfreshtabs?
As you can see, Fastfreshtabs is one strange browser extension. All it can offer you is a page reload button that reloads all of the opened tabs. Its real purpose is unknown, however. It is distributed using three channels, and one of them can get this extension on your PC without your knowledge or consent. We suggest that you remove this program from your browser. Removal Instructions
- Open Chrome.
- Hold down Alt+F.
- Open More tools.
- Select Extensions.
- Find Fastfreshtabs
- Click the Remove button.
Delete additional files
- Press Windows+E keys.
- Enter %LOCALAPPDATA% in the address box.
- Press Enter.
- Find fastfreshtabs, right-click it and click Delete.
