Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open the browser.
  2. To check whether DataMngr and the unwanted add-on is still present, press and hold down the Ctrl key, then press and hold down Shift and finally press A.
  3. Remove the unwanted add-on if necessary.
  4. Press Alt+T.
  5. Select Options.
  6. Under the General tab, change the home page and click OK.
  7. To change the search engine, open the drop-down menu next to the search box on your browser.
  8. Select Manage Search Engines.
  9. Remove the unwanted engine and select a new one. Click OK.

Google Chrome

  1. Open the browser.
  2. Press and hold down Alt and then press F.
  3. Go to Tools - > Extensions.
  4. Remove the unwanted add-on.
  5. Click on Settings.
  6. In the On startup section, click on the third option and click on Set pages to change the startup page.
  7. Remove the unwanted home page and set a new one.
  8. In the Search section, select the Mange search engines button.
  9. Remove the unwanted search engine and select a new one by moving the mouse over it and clicking on Make default.
  10. Click on Done.
