Instead, every single one of these PUPs hijacks the browser (either via the New Tab page, homepage, or both), and displays an interface of a search engine that appears to display a toolbar at the top. The pseudo toolbar presented by DailyFunnyWorld Toolbar displays “Video of the Day,” “International Jokes,” and “Tools” buttons that give access to 9gag.com, comedycentral.co.uk, timeanddate.com, dictionary.com, and similar websites. Although the PUP displays these links, you can bookmark them to get easy access directly from your browser, and you do NOT need to install anything. To make the interface appear more attractive, links to popular websites, unrelated to memes or gifs – which is the main theme of the PUP – including facebook.com, instagram.com, or booking.com, are added.
Although DailyFunnyWorld Toolbar is advertised as a tool that offers memes and gifs, whether you download it from chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dailyfunnyworld/oiedaodjjdfnkfjaphcklblcolefkigc, the official website, dailyfunnyworld.com, or some unknown source, you will get more than you bargained for. Right away, you should notice that the center stage on the toolbar’s interface is given to a search tool. Due to this, it looks like a normal search engine; similar to google.com/search, for example. We mention Google because the search service offered by DailyFunnyWorld Toolbar is, allegedly, enhanced by Google.
