  4. Under the section Search, click Manage search engines…
  5. Select a new search engine and click Make default.
  6. Find the one which needs to be deleted and then click X.
  7. Select Extensions from the menu under the heading Chrome.
  8. Select the extension and then click the recycle bin button.
  9. Click the Remove button to confirm the deletion.
