What is AV Antispyware?
AV Antispyware is an application that uses various deceiving tactics to get computer users to purchase a full version of the AV Antispyware program. AV Antispyware is a clone of MS Antispyware 2009, which is also another rogue anti-spyware application. AV Antispyware or AVAntispyware, is usually installed and advertised through a Trojan horse infection.
Once the Trojan that installs AV Antispyware is on your system, you will start to get various popup messages or alerts that attempt to scare you through bogus warnings of computer infections. If any of the popup messages are clicked on, then it may prompt the installation of AV Antispyware. Once AV Antispyware is installed, it may start to perform system scans which could list multiple fake results of parasites found. Do not ever trust AV Antispyware for detection or removal of any type of computer parasite including spyware.
AV Antispyware is known to display a spyware alert message on your screen that says the following:
"Spyware Alert!
Your computer is infected with spyware. It could damage your critical files or expose your private data on the Internet. Click here to register your copy of AV Antispyware and remove spyware threats from your PC."
Other messages displayed by AV Antispyware may appear to come from the Windows operating system's security center but it does not. Do not trust these messages or the AV Antispyware application.
