What is Anonymous Virus?
So far we've been used to Ukash viruses that lock computers pretending in the name of national law enforcement organizations. However, unlike FBI Moneypak or Metropolitan Police Virus, Anonymous Virus takes an entirely different approach towards terrorizing computer users. Although it is a ransomware application from the Ukash Virus group, instead of pretending to be displaying a message from a law enforcement agency, Anonymous Virus locks your desktop in the name of the notorious hacktivist movement Anonymous.

The movement itself is known to have been taken down a few important and major website servers over the past year, and so now Ukash ransomware infections make use of the Anonymous name to scare computer users into paying money for something that will not and cannot be delivered. Anonymous Virus attacks users in various locations, including the USA and European Union, so the amount of ransom fee can vary according to your location, however the main message that is displayed across your screen is the same:
Knowledge is tree. We are Anonymous. We are legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us!
Tango down!
