What is Reloadit Virus?

Reloadit Virus is a group of dangerous and highly misleading ransomware which comes from the same faction of malware as the infamous Ukash Virus, Moneypak Virus, Paysafecard Virus, Police Virus or the recently reported Moneygram Virus. The devious infections from this so-called family are clandestine Trojans, better known by such names as Urmetoo, Urausy and Reveton. These devious application may use a number of different security backdoors, including bundled downloads or fake video codecs, to slither into the system without any of your knowledge. Since the malicious Trojans do not have a visible interface, you may know nothing about their existence until your PC becomes locked by a seemingly authentic notification forwarded by the Police. This is a scam, and you need to delete Reloadit Virus as soon as possible.

How does Reloadit Virus act?

The notification presented to you upon the lock-down of the computer may be displayed as a System Failure alert; however, the main trick lies within the bogus information. Here is an example:

Federal Bureau of Investigation
All Activities of this computer has been recorded. All your files are encrypted. Don’t try to unlock your computer!
You PC [Windows version] is blocked due to at least one of the reasons specified below.
1. You have been subjected to violation of Copyright and Related Rights Law (Video, Music, Software) and illegally using or distributing copyrighted contents […]
2. You have been viewing or distributing prohibited Pornographic contents: (Child Porno photos and etc were found in [folder]). […]
3. Illegal access has been initiated from your PC without your knowledge or consent, your PC may be infected by malware, thus you are violating the law of Neglectful Use of Personal Computer. [..]

If you notice the incorrect grammar this alert is written in, you will have no doubts that the alert is completely bogus. Are you intimidated by the seemingly authentic Police credentials? They are attached illegally, and you must realize that authentic law enforcers have nothing to do with the lock-down of your computer. Note that the credentials attached may vary from FBI to Interpol and others, depending on the targeted country. Overall, you should ignore any demands to pay fines (e.g. $300) through REloadit. The only thing you should do is delete Reloadit Virus, especially since paying the fine will not help you restore access to the PC. So what removal strategy should you employ to delete the Trojan?

Delete Ransomware from Your PC

Remove from Windows 8:

Tap the Windows key to access the Metro UI start screen and launch the browser.
