How does EZ YouTube Video Downloader work?

EZ YouTube Video Downloader has been found to be related to the browser hijacker WOW Search.  The browser hijacker is installed after you install the browser extension. We recommend that you ignore the search engine wow.utop.it because it may provide you wither irrelevant search hits. Moreover, you should ignore display advertisements on the startup page of the search provider. Those advertisements are not endorsed by the search engine, which means that you interact with them at your own risk. You may find advertisements encouraging you to scan the computer or update some computer applications. Pay no attention to such recommendations because they may be aimed at deceiving you. Instead of the recommended application you may be asked to install several completely unnecessary programs, some of which may be adware programs.

You may also encounter some undesirable advertisements while browsing the Internet. They may appear on YouTube and some other popular websites. It is very likely that advertisements are sent from several advertising servers which are not associated with EZ YouTube Video Downloader or the browser hijacker. When you click on one of the ads, bear in mind that you do it at your own risk. Since you cannot know to what website you will be taken, we recommend that you ignore those ads and remove EZ YouTube Video Downloader from the browsers.

Additionally, EZ YouTube Video Downloader runs the background process winupdsvc.exe, which may have two names: Security Updates Service or Windows Update Service. Winupdsvc.exe searches for updates so that you have the latest version of the program.  If you want to prevent advertisements and damage to the system, you should take immediate action to remove EZ YouTube Video Downloader from the PC.
