Where does eGames Toolbar come from?

As it has been mentioned in the previous paragraph, eGames Toolbar is very unlikely to be bundled with freeware. In fact, this plug-in has not been supported since 2012, so even if you have it added on your browser, eGames Toolbar cannot provide you with the relevant online games-related information. Initially, the toolbar could have been downloaded at egames.com, but not the download link can only be come across on an archive page from 2012. The question is, whether you really need a toolbar that does not work anymore, so there is no need to look for it on purpose.

What does eGames Toolbar do?

The main purpose of the toolbar was to provide you with shortcuts to your favorite online games and gaming websites. Even now the toolbar still displays various advertisements that promote online games; however, the security of these websites is highly debatable. What is more, eGames Toolbar can set Yahoo Search as your default search engine. You are asked whether you want to perform the modification, and if you agree to it, Yahoo Search is added even to Google Chrome, although initially the browser should not be able to support eGames Toolbar.

Although eGames Toolbar is nowhere near being a dangerous computer infection or a system security threat, it would still be a good idea to remove it from your computer, because in reality eGames Toolbar is nothing, but an empty shell of an application that does not work anymore.

How to remove eGames Toolbar?
