dosearches

What is dosearches?

Anti-Spyware-101.com researchers warn that you need to be extra cautious about dosearches. This is a browser hijacker which is represented through an allegedly reliable search tool. The search engine has been developed by Seablue Technology Limited and we have no doubt that this company has no regard for your virtual security. What do they want then? The answer is simple and straightforward – they want money. As research has revealed, suspicious software developers can sell information collected by installed web cookies or they can earn money by redirecting you to random sites without your consent. For example, if you browse the unreliable search engine you will be forwarded to the Yahoo search page search.yahoo.com. This is extremely suspicious, and so we recommend that you delete dosearches hijacker as soon as possible.

Why should you remove dosearches?

The questions is – why should you not remove dosearches.com? This search engine not only records your online activity or exposes security vulnerabilities, it also is completely useless. Why would you run a search engine which cannot provide you with authentic and useful search results? Note that even Yahoo search results are filtered and offer advertisement-supported results, which is why it is important that you replace the unreliable search tools with the more reliable ones.

Experienced spyware researchers warn that it is extremely dangerous to trust websites which are linked to browser hijackers. Therefore, if you continue running the browser hijacker it is likely that sooner or later you will expose Windows security vulnerabilities. Note that unauthorized redirecting and even reappearing advertisements could lead to serious security issues. We have discovered this by researching qvo6.com, v9.com, delta-homes.com and portaldosites.com hijackers. All of these infections act in the exact same manner because they all reconfigure browser settings to disable straightforward removal operations. Therefore, even if you know how to change home page and search provider settings, you may struggle with dosearches.com removal. Luckily, we can help you in this situation.

  2. Hi Lisa,
Thank you for your kind info regarding the dosearch removal actions. This was really helpful. I tried everything that you have mentioned. It did remove lots of malware and trojans and many more enemies, But the home page still showed up with dosearch.com site. And so I reinstalled the google chrome browser and that is working fine. But I still have problem with Internet Explorer. When I click "Use Default" option in "General" tab in "Internet Options", the "Home Page" still gets filled automatically with "http://www.dosearches.com/?utm_source=b&utm_medium=smt&utm_campaign=eXQ&utm_content=hp&from=smt&uid=WDCXWD3200BEVS-26VAT0_WD-WXL0E892391823918&ts=1381379679" and which means there is still something about this dosearch that is not yet removed from my pc. How do I remove this and make the use of the "Use Default" button normal as it was before? Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you
    Kind regards
    Jayesh

    • Hello Jayesh,

Thanks for good words. In this case, there are "dosearche" leftovers in your registry. Try this:

Click Start, type regedit into search bar. In the registry editor navigate to Edit->Find. Type dosearches , remove everything that's related with it. Be careful because removing not related keys in registry can harm your computer.

Another solution is to scan your computer with Spyhunter and after scan, manually remove all files related with dosearches.

  3. It doesn't work. I have dosearches infesting Chrome, but none of the listen files is in the Register. Neither Kaspersky nor Spybot find it, but Spyhunter claims to., However, most of these antivirus progs seem to be scams as far as I can see. I have already paid for Spybot and Kaspersky and I can't afford any others.

  4. This doesn't seem to work my internet explorer keeps going back to dosearches.com I have the windows 8 computer .I have Internet explorer on my start screen and on my Taskbar and only the one on my taskbar keeps doing this .Help?

  5. I've removed that awful advert spamming dosearches from my computer with your recommendations. going to turn off and on again, and hope it\'s problem free thanks to your advice.

  6. many many thanks dear Lisa for this .
dosearch had been a nightmare. I tried everything, including purchasing a search software that did not help.
