Delta Search

What is Delta Search?

It is exceptionally important to read the EULA of every program you install onto your personal computer. Failure to do this can lead to the entrance of Delta Search. Also known as Delta-Search.com, the search engine can be linked to various programs, including Eazel Toolbar, Mixi.DJ Toolbar and Cool Mirage Ltd. Even though the website is not categorized as malicious and authentic spyware detection and removal software will not block access to it, more and more computer users refer to it as a browser hijacker. This has raised discussions whether Delta Search removal is necessary and whether this plugin cannot cause virtual security risks.

The End-User License Agreement of Delta Search and Delta Toolbar is presented at info.delta-search.com. Here the developers of the application have exposed the attitude towards the virtual security of those users who will use the app for daily web-searchers. Please see a few important statements:

We use the cookies to store a code designating a distribution source for the Delta Toolbar. This information allows us to properly distinguish Software for purposes of compensating third parties who distribute our product and to analyze retention and usage on an aggregated basis.

Delta Toolbar does not have any obligation to test Third Party Software and is not responsible for the appropriateness, completeness, stability or legality of any Third Party Software and you hereby waive any legal or equitable rights you have or may have against Delta Toolbar with respect thereto.

As research shows, delta-search.com can be set as your home page or your search engine only if you agree with these modifications after performing the installation of a particular browser extension. Truth be told, many computer users whizz past the installation setups without paying too much attention to what changes are offered or set as default. This calls for greater attention when downloading browser add-ons or PC software in general, especially when using freeware and the infamous P2P file distribution services. If you have not noticed the offered changes, you are likely to be surprised to face seemingly unauthorized browser modifications. Nonetheless, this is not illegal.

Is it safe to use Delta Search?

Even though there is no data referring to a direct relationship between delta-search.com developers and schemers, certain suspicious activity has been discovered. First of all, the application is based upon a pay-per-click system leading to compromised web search results. Even though certain presented websites are likely to answer the queries, the top results are most likely to be dedicated to websites which have nothing to do with the entered keywords. Clicking on these sites can boost traffic and help Delta Search developers earn money for this type of advertising. On the other hand, this is one of the main reasons behind the suggested Delta Search removal.

As the EULA of delta-search.com reveals, third-party software linked to the search engine is not the responsibility of the developers. This is how many web-search domains treat the provided search results; however, it is not secure to deal with an application which could leak your personal information to unknown third parties. Clearly, making profit using pay-per-click systems is the basis of Delta Search. This raises the suspicion whether promoting other sites is not more important than providing authentic web-search results compatible with Google or Bing. Moreover, this is a security vulnerability that malignant third-parties could implement for misleading advertising or even clandestine malware distribution. Without a doubt, you should delete Delta Search from the PC.

As mentioned before, authentic security tools are unlikely to detect and delete Delta Search related software. This is the reason why it is most beneficial to proceed with manual removal operations. Of course, if the PC is already infected with dangerous programs, you should install automatic malware removal tools. Please follow the step below to remove Delta Search and fix browser settings.

  1. Hi

My computer picked up the Delta toolbar when I installed a piece of freeware (which didn\'t even work). I chose to perform a custom installation, deselecting the option to include the toolbar, but it still installed it in both my browsers, Internet Explorer and Chrome. I got rid of it by a combination of the above measures - manually disabling add-one within the browser settings - and performing a system restore.

I found the Delta toolbar to be a persistent problem until I got rid of it. Nice to see someone else\'s method, even if it confirms my own. There are removal tools available for this particular problem but I prefer not to use them if I can find my own solution.
