SaferWeb

What is SaferWeb?

SaferWeb is an adware application that is supposed to help you buy various goods at the lowest price possible. It functions as a browser application, and it promises to enhance your web shopping experience. However, it is very doubtful whether SaferWeb can live up to its promises. This adware program is obviously there for the money, but it wants to earn some and does not intend to help you save yours. Although SaferWeb does not steal your money directly, it would be in your best interest to remove SaferWeb from the system at once with all the other related applications.testtesttest 100% FREE spyware scan and

Where does SaferWeb come from?

The main homepage for SaferWeb at saferweb.info says the following:

Online shopping must have become a hassle instead of just pure fun. Why not take that back to the basics? Shop and have fun using the SaferWeb shopping browser add-on.

There is also a Download button below this promotional tagline, but it does not work. It is nothing surprising because almost none of the applications from the same group have a direct download link. SaferWeb is very similar to RightCoupon, RealDeal, LuckyCoupon, SaveON and many other applications.

All of them travel bundled with freeware via third-party installers. For the most part, SaferWeb gets around via InstallRex installer, but in some cases (based on your location) it might come via Vittalia or Amonetize installers as well. Usually users get infected with SaferWeb when you click fake download buttons on data sharing websites.

What does SaferWeb do?

Since it has been established that users install SaferWeb onto their computers themselves (albeit unknowingly), we cannot say that this adware application is a dangerous infection. One thing that is rather odd about it (and other applications from the same group) is that it randomly capitalizes the letters in its name on every single installation. That means that saoferrweb, saFErrweb, saafferWoeb and other variations still pint point none the other but SaferWeb adware app.

SaferWeb adds extensions to Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer web browsers. These extensions are responsible for displaying annoying commercial ads on online stores. SaferWeb also collects information on what websites you visit, so that it would know what kind of content it has to embed in the ads.

Unfortunately, SaferWeb and other adware applications do not review the third-party content before embedding it. As a result, it may lead to potential exposure to corrupted and even dangerous websites.

How to remove SaferWeb?

In order to protect your computer and your personally non-identifiable information from a third-party exploitation and malware infection, you should remove SaferWeb and all the other unwanted applications right now. Open Control Panel and uninstall SaferWeb manually. When you are done with that, delete the extensions from your browser and then invest in a licensed antispyware tool that would protect your PC from similar threats in the future.
