This is happening because this virus sets your proxy server in IE to look for a dial up connection instead of DSL or you are being routed to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Internet Settings "ProxyServer" = "http=127.0.0.1:5555" Do the following in IE: Tools->Internet Options->Connections->LAN Settings check Automatically Detect settings.
