This virus was also called snipsmart. You may want to look for that. I finally got that and groovorio off my CPU.

Hi Max,

I have been attempting to remove groovorio as well; however, my issue is that it is not in my programs at all! Would it be under a different name? I even restored my computer to an earlier date, and it is still there driving me crazy!! Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!!

Hi katherine,

You need to change the default search provider. Navigate to the top right corner and click on an downwards arrow. Select Manage Search Providers. When a new tab opens, find "Search Providers". Remove Groovorio and then select a different search provider.

Another advice from me would be not to use Internet Explorer. Chrome and Firefox are much more secured and faster browsers, but that is ofcourse your right to choose.

I uninstalled, but when I search in the box in the upper left hand corner of IE, I see the search go through groovorio for a split second before redirecting me?
